So, me and Brother in Law Tom decide to make a run to the lease one Saturday night a few weeks ago. Plan was to spend Sunday fishing, relaxing, having steak and baked potatoes over the fire that night and come home Sunday morning after coffee. Boy did that NOT work out. This is what happens when you drive off in to the pasture after it has been raining buckets for weeks! 1) sink the buggy 2) walk back to camp to get your buddy’s buggy 3) stick your buddy Billy’s buggy trying to get yours out 4) walk back to the truck-call landowner for farm truck-he sends the oil pumper) 5) Sink the oil pumpers F150 to the frame trying to get the buggies out 6) Try the farm truck almost get it stuck 7) Call neighbor with tractor 8) Sink the neighbors tractor trying to get the F150 out 9) Dig out the tractor and get it to the road 10) Call the bulldozer guy and have him come pull out the F150 and almost sink the bulldozer 11) Muscle out your buddies buggy 12) Leave your buggy in the woods until it’s dry enough to get a skid steer in there to pull it out. All started at 8:30 am and ended back at camp at 5:30pm at which time I had the best beer I have ever had. Moral of the story-Stay in camp and drink beer! On a brighter note Tom set his personal best of over 18,000 steps on his Fit Bit!
